Pet Sitting

Hi, it's Celia again.

I am earning money to buy a horse. Mom said I need multiple streams of income. When I told her I'm not very good at multiplying (math and I don't get along) she said that means I should have several different jobs. So besides raising and selling goats and their milk, I also pet sit.

Pet sitting is a lot of fun. And a lot of work. Some animals are easy (like Trixie, the dog I pet sat this weekend).

But some are hard. Like the dog who decided to mark his territory. In the house. On mom's furniture. We have new furniture now, and that dog doesn't come over anymore.

Or the dog that broke his collar and ran pell mell down the hill. Dad and I chased him, but it was our neighbor who caught him by getting down on all fours and calling to him. The dog went right to him! I was so happy. I call that neighbor the dog whisperer.

I have also watched cats, birds, frogs, rabbits...you name it, I watch it. I want to be a vet when I grow up, so working with all of these animals will be good experience. Now if I can just get good at math!
